Nota Bene is Zarf Vantongerloo's first notary system that works with a rather complex in-world device, tied into an external, off-world server, that basically adds a digital signature to a notecard, and provides a 3D interface to a familiar concept (digital signatures).
It allows for secure, digital signing of documents in Second Life, thus enabling people to validate a contract agreement, for instance.
